- UIM F1H2O World Championship The UIM F1H2O World Championship stands as the flagship international single-seater inshore circuit powerboat racing series, organized by H2O Racing under the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM). Each grand prix lasts around 30 minutes, held on lakes, rivers, docks or sheltered coastal bays, with drivers navigating hairpin turns at over 145 km/h and reaching top speeds of 226 km/h (world record: 261 km/h). Since 2024, the series has introduced sprint races split into two groups of nine drivers, with points awarded to top finishers to enhance competition intensity.
- ORC 2025 North American Championship Hosted by the Storm Trysail Club as part of the 31st Block Island Race Week (June 21-27, 2025), this championship combines 20-mile round-the-island races, navigation challenges and buoy racing to test the ORC rating and scoring system comprehensively. It features three ORC divisions, with two divisions imposing limits on professional sailors to uphold the Corinthian spirit while welcoming diverse competitors.

- 2025 WWR #2 Buoys Race - CLASSIC (Australia) Organized by Wildwater WA, this kayaking buoy race took place in Ascot, Australia on June 1, 2025, with 19 racers participating in a mass start format. Harry Langley claimed the overall victory with a time of 17:13.2, while Stephanie Bedden-Smith secured the top female finish at 22:13.1, with divisions for different age groups and boat types.
- Club Buoy Race (Kentucky, USA) Running from April 26 to September 20, 2025, at Cave Run Lake, this recurring event hosts monthly races with a skipper’s meeting at 10:00 AM and race start at 12:00 PM at Scott’s Creek Ramp. It welcomes sailing enthusiasts of all skill levels to compete in a casual yet competitive environment.
- 2025 USPRS Ranney's Buoy Race (UK) Held on July 26, 2025, this IRC-classified buoy race saw fierce competition amid unpredictable weather conditions, with final results available for download on the organizing club’s website. Participants praised the event for its challenging course and fair competition standards.

- 2025 Buoy Cup The semifinal of this popular event pairs veteran teams Crown Jules & Ding Nasty against upstarts Young Slug & Red October at the legendary Windjammer venue. Broadcast on ESPN2, the championship finale airs on August 3 at 5:30 AM EDT, where pro doubles teams compete for the coveted Golden Buoy trophy.
- Buoy League at Full Circle Bar (NYC) Kicking off on September 16, this weekly amateur league invites teams of 2-4 players to compete in buoy-themed games every Monday. It also hosts NYC industry tournaments for bartenders and a "Toss Like a Pirate Day" on September 19, blending social interaction with lighthearted competition.
